چکیده

Palladium nanohexagons were prepared using a seed-mediated method. Their catalytic performance in 2-methyl-3-butyn-2-ol hydrogenation was compared to the one of monodispersed Pd nanospheres. Quantitative correlations between initial turnover frequencies (TOFs) and nanoparticle surface compositions showed independence of TOFs calculated per atoms on Pd(111) facets on particle size and shape.

A simple method for the preparation of ultra-small palladium nanoparticles and their utilization for the hydrogenation of terminal alkyne groups to alkanes.

A simple and convenient method for the preparation of ultra-small palladium nanoparticles (Pd-NPs) by a modified digestive ripening method is described. These nanoparticles catalyse the hydrogenation of the terminal alkyne groups to alkanes selectively, and show no effect on other labile protecting and internal alkyne or internal/external alkene groups present in the molecule.

Metal and Precursor Effect during 1-Heptyne Selective Hydrogenation Using an Activated Carbon as Support

Palladium, platinum, and ruthenium supported on activated carbon were used as catalysts for the selective hydrogenation of 1-heptyne, a terminal alkyne. All catalysts were characterized by temperature programmed reduction, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. TPR and XPS suggest that the metal in all catalysts is reduced after the pretreatme...

Palladium catalysed alkyne hydrogenation and oligomerisation: a parahydrogen based NMR investigation.

The role phosphine ligands play in the palladium(ii)-bis-phosphine-hydride cation catalysed hydrogenation of diphenylacetylene is explored through a PHIP (parahydrogen induced polarization) NMR study. The precursors Pd(LL')(OTf)(2) (1a-e) [LL' = dcpe (PCy(2)CH(2)CH(2)PCy(2)), dppe, dppm, dppp, cppe (PCy(2)CH(2)CH(2)PPh(2))] are used. Alkyl palladium intermediates of the type [Pd(LL')(CHPhCH(2)P...

Parahydrogen-induced polarization in alkyne hydrogenation catalyzed by Pd nanoparticles embedded in a supported ionic liquid phase.

Parahydrogen-induced polarization was observed in the gas phase heterogeneous hydrogenation of propyne catalyzed by Pd(0) nanoparticles embedded in an ionic liquid phase supported on activated carbon fibers (Pd(0)/SILP/ACF). The results were markedly different from those obtained with a reference catalyst, Pd(0)/ACF, demonstrating the important role of the ionic liquid.

Improved selectivity by stabilizing and exposing active phases on supported Pd nanoparticles in acetylene-selective hydrogenation.

Palladium dynamics: Under hydrogenation conditions, saturating over-active palladium by carbon diffusion leads to a stable and selective particle surface. By choosing supports with suitable geometric structures and establishing a strong interaction between supports and metal particles, accumulated species can be regularly rearranged and reaction-selective phases can be exposed (see figure).
